Love the receiver - NOT a happy camper today beacuse the effin' thing is 2 weeks out of warranty! Purchased 02/08/11 from Crutchfield... Unbelievable. Planned, it seems... They're getting a call as soon as their offices open - as is Onkyo service.

I own a TX-NR808 and all of a sudden I am experiencing the same problem!! Worked fine this morning, and tonight -- no sound from any input.
My only option was to do HDMI passthrough to the TV so at least my wife could watch tv.
Not happy about this, I paid a lot of money for this receiver and hate the idea of having to unhook everything to send it in for service.

One thing I noticed was the Network and Remote Control menu options were greyed out - as if the receiver was having LAN issues. Receiver has the latest firmware. Tried power cycling, swapping LAN ports, different inputs, you name it. Just couldn't get sound from any input. I ended up doing a factory reset this morning (save your settings first!) and that seems to have taken care of the problem for now.
Onkyo, with this many users having identical issues after years of problem-free operation, any chance you can comment on what's happening here? What are you finding on the units you're getting back for repair?
