Onkyo has investigated this issue within our technical department and have discovered that as a result of improper or repeated installation of the rechargeable battery it is possible that the charging terminals within the CHAD remote control may become bent or misaligned. As a result, the battery does not gain a full charge when placed within the charging cradle.
To assure proper contact between the battery charging terminals and the battery it is necessary that the CHAD remote control be sent to the designated service center so that the charging terminals can be replaced.
To have your CHAD repaired under warranty for this problem, properly package the remote in a suitable box for shipping, along with a letter detailing your problem, and a copy of you proof of purchase and ship it to:
